Hi 👋. I’m Laura
I’m a Brand and Web Designer based just outside Sheffield. I work with small independent businesses to create distinctive brand identities and effective online presences. My focus is on supporting businesses that are committed to making a positive impact in their communities and industries.
My Story
If we’ve spoken before I’m sure you’ve felt confused by my muddled accent, don’t worry your not the first. Both my parents are from the North-East and moved to London before I was born. So my original home town is in South-East London.
I spent most of my childhood and early teens going between the two locations visiting family. Hence the Gockney (Geordie and cockney) accent I have now.
After school we made a big move to the Peak District in Derbyshire and I eventually moved to Sheffield to study Graphic Design at university.
I decided to stay and set roots in Sheffield and have created a place to call home with my family.
After university I would take on the occasional design project whilst working full-time in project co-ordination or marketing. In 2018 me and my husband set up our own business, Browns Tattoo Studio. Just before the open day we found out we were expecting our daughter, and I decided to bite the bullet and become a freelancer full time.
